ALL DIVISION RULES:
1. Only GCSA registered players can play.
2. Referees or coaches will cancel games or practices due to inclement weather or other reasons deemed necessary. Coaches or team parent are responsible in notifying your team members on all cancelled games/practices. In most cases, it will be announced on the radio 1510 am KMSD or school intercom.
3. PLAY FAIR and DO NOT question a referee’s call.
The referee’s decision is final.
4. It is crucial that every player attend all practice and games. Players should arrive on time and be ready to play. Players/Parents should inform their coach if they are not going to be at a game or practice. Each player is an important part of the team, and each coach will need time to find a replacement for the team member. If continued absences occur, without notification, the team suffers and an evaluation of continued participation will be addressed by the soccer board.
5. A registered player may play with an older age division against an in or out-of-town team with the approval of both coaches & the parents of the player.
6. Players should be to the game early enough (at least 15 min or when coach requires) to be inspected before the game & to warm-up. If late, players must be inspected before they enter the game. Coaches will inspect U6 & U8 players only.
7. INSPECTIONS: For games each player must wear shirt/jersey, shorts/sweats, Shirts must be tucked in and the goalkeeper must wear a different color shirt than other players Shin guards are mandatory for all age levels at ALL practices and games. Socks must completely cover the shin guards. A water bottle is recommended for both practice/games. U6 & U8 players may wear wind suits/sweat pants over shin guards; these pants must remain on during entire practice or game. Shoes for U6 and U8 players may wear regular tennis shoes, must be tied properly, double knotted if necessary. U10 & up level should wear soccer shoes with rubberized cleats, but NO toe cleat. No jewelry or hard hair accessories. Players with spectables are encouraged to wear a strap to hold the glasses. Players cards are required for tournaments(U-10 & up divisions).
8. Each U6 & U8 players needs to bring their own ball for practice/games, U-10 & up players needs to bring their ball only to practice. A game ball will be provided for each game. U6 & U8 players require a #3 size ball. U10 & U12 players require #4
size ball & U14 player requires #5 ball.
9. Transportation to and from practices or games is a parent responsibility.
10. Spectators for U10 & up division will view the game from the opposite side of the field as the players. Players and referees are the only people allowed on the field during game time. No one is allowed behind the goal line during game time. Nor foul language or smoking at the soccer fields.
