To All,

I want to thank you all for the past 6 years that I have been President of Grant County Soccer Association. Through the years I have seen such growth in players and have seen how people have stepped up to help with making this program grow. It was a challenge at times to make sure everything was completed for each season, but that first day when I saw players/parents/spectators out on the field, was well worth the hard work.

I am sadden to leave Milbank, my family and I will be moving to Aberdeen, SD. My husband Jeff (who I’m very proud of) has accepted a new job at RDO Equipment (John Deere), as a Service Manager. My 16 year old daughter Kala is totally pumped that they offer High School Soccer for her Division, as well as Rec Soccer and now she doesn’t have to bug me about “Mom if you can get a U-14 Division up and running in Milbank, you can do a U-16 as well”, my answer was always “Kala, you need more space for a bigger field, bigger goals and a dedicated coach to practice with players everyday.”. My son josh is excited for a new adventure and has already made some friends with some of his classmates there in Aberdeen. Our 23 year old daughter Rachelle, is actually now living in Aberdeen and works at a bank as a loan officer (good for her). Our 20 year old son Daniel, is unsure yet if he will move to Aberdeen or continue working at United Hardware in Milbank. Although, we will surely miss you all, but know it’s still not too far to drive back.

I have total confidence that John Trevett will do a great job as President. The other board members will also do a super job in assisting John.
